RULE NUMBER ONE – PICK UP NUMBER TWO !
This is a friendly reminder to please pick up after your pet – they can’t do it themselves and we’ve heard from concerned residents that a nudge may be needed. In addition to being unsightly (and smelly!) animal waste can create health hazards for other pets and for the children in our community. So when you are walking with Fifi or Fido – on a leash, of course - please bring a baggie with you to immediately clean up after your pet and then dispose of the waste properly. Picking up #2 makes you #1!
** Failure to do so is a violation of local ordinance.

PET LICENSE DUE DATE EXTENDED
As you may know, the City of Northfield had to cancel our annual free rabies clinic, which had been scheduled for March 21st. We hope to be able to reschedule, but we are not sure it will be possible and have no details at present.
In order to give our residents extra time to have their dog or cat vaccinated without being subject to a late licensing fee, the deadline for renewing pet licenses has been extended. With the extension, no late fees will be due if licenses are renewed by May 31st; any license renewed June 1st or later will be subject to a $5 late fee.
As always pet licenses can be renewed by mail and a link to the renewal form has been provided. Rabies vaccinations must be valid through at least 10/31/2020 in order to renew.
Stay well, Northfield!
